• The Affordable Double Breasted Blazer

Click any image above to shop even the jeans! When it comes to affordable blazers, it doesn’t get much better than these two blazers from Lioness. They are double breasted and full of so much personality. I don’t typically wear white blazers, but I was curious what this would look like. And it did not disappoint in the least bit. In fact, I prefer the white blazer to the black. However, in terms of function, the black is likely more practical. I would definitely suggest taking any blazer bought off the rack to a tailor. As you can see from the photos, the sleeves need to be shortened and the…

  • Abercrombie Sherpa Button Up Shirt Jacket – Shacket

Click any image above to shop, even the basic white tank! The shirt jacket or shacket… I’m all the way in on this trend especially with this Abercrombie number. I am in an XS, and it is definitely an oversized fit. I just ordered the XXS for size comparison because the XS is roomy. My usual Abercrombie size is a Small/Medium, so I would definitely say size down one or two sizes. It is oh so cozy and very warm. Pair this with shorts if you’re still in transitional weather (like me) or with cute furry boots and black jeans for super comfy luxe look! XOXO Do you feel influenced…

  • I LOVE Sweater Tanks

Click any image above to shop even the Louis Vuitton Neverfull! I own a handful of sweater tanks, and I just love them! I realize they don’t make the most sense depending on the weather. They do tend to be a bit warm (obviously!), but the fact that they’re a tank makes them a great piece as the seasons transition. I paired this black sweater tank with a simple pair of jeans and sandals and feel that this look could be my everyday look very easily! XOXO Do you feel influenced yet? (follow me @carissa_cruse)

  • English Factory Shirt Dress

Click any image above to view and/or shop! First comment, “Wow, I feel like such a lawyer in this outfit.” Husband’s response, “You are.” Oh yeah! Lol! This is again the power of clothing. It can transport you and allow you to express a part of you that either you already know about or don’t yet. There’s a reason they call it dress-up. Back to the shirt dresses. I had every intention in keeping just one of these dresses, but SERIOUSLY? How was I ever going to choose? I do think the brown number has a bit more character to it given all the colors, but the black number just…

  • WorkPlace Approved

Click any of the above images to view and/or shop! Today, I got dressed in real “going to work” attire. I had a fun coffee meeting in downtown Houston, so I decided to look a bit more professional than usual. I went for a classic nearly all black look including this incredible Theory Pointelle dress, nude heels, and a flutter blazer. The dress has a more racerback cut which I love and think it adds great flair. Any time I wear all black, I try to add in a fun accessory or a pop of color. But today, I went all neutrals instead which brings me to the bag. This…
