Oversized Blazer: Part 2

Blazer: Calvin Klein One Button Suit Jacket; Bodysuit: Leith Sleeveless Bodysuit; Shorts: Paperbag Shorts (similar style); Sandals: Tory Burch Miller Flip Flop; Purse: Gucci Marmont Handbag

I have been going through my closet recently looking for clothes that I either don’t wear often or that I have NEVER worn. Enter these blue high waisted shorts… purchased probably five or six years ago and never worn except maybe on a walk with my pups. I remember having such a hard time figuring out what to wear with them.

One thing I like about styling outfits is that sometimes the whole outfit doesn’t come together until later. When I purchased these shorts, it’s like I knew I wasn’t ready for them, but there would come a day where every component would come perfectly together.

Fast forward five or six years, and enter the bodysuit. I really wasn’t keen on the idea. Bodysuits seemed dreadfully uncomfortable. And they really are if you don’t buy the correct size! But the seamless look they create is stunning.

I wore this complete outfit out to dinner with my husband a week or two ago, and it was amazing because that night before dinner I marched straight into my closet as if this outfit was calling to me. No hesitation. No questions. These were the exact pieces to be put together. Add the blazer and the Tory Millers with a couple of baubles. And don’t forget that instant classy bump found only in the perfect purse.

The best part about a well-styled outfit is the feeling when wearing it. I felt uber confident and strong. Things were so well aligned and worked out so well!

XOXO
