I had no idea I would be such a sucker for color block. But I am! I will buy almost anything color block. One caveat… the color contrasts MUST be dramatic. I think I am a dramatic person who feels a lot, so I like my outfit to represent that to an extent. I love the drama between the golden color and the white. Also, I never thought I would ever buy anything in brown, but here I am! And I am loving it!!!

This midi sweater skirt is also something I would not usually buy specifically given the length, but it is so flattering and goes with so much. Dress it up with a black cami and heels or down with this sweatshirt and slip-ons. I feel that a more elegant look comes with a lighter material-ed top versus a heavier top gives a more casual look.

A note on the jeans. The first pair shown are a size 2Short. They are too small in my opinion. But they are a great jean. So comfy! Abercrombie was so popular in high school, and I feel I am still somewhat scarred from my Abercrombie jean days back then. But this go-round is providing much needed healing. The first pair is a mid-rise skinny ankle jean, and I love them. I would say they run true to size. And I honestly couldn’t tell you why I sized down. Buy your true size. And again the material is INCREDIBLY soft. These are paired with Chloe sandals. So cute but uncomfortable if worn the whole day.

Note: I just can’t get into the high-waist jeans. I did for shorts, but I can’t for jeans. So, as you can see, both Abercrombie jean options are mid-rise.

The second pair… I am in love with. Size 4Short, true to size. They give me such a moment. I feel such freedom in them. And by freedom, I mean peace, tranquility. This is the power of clothes. LOL! At least for me. Anyways, these are boyfriend mid-rise jeans, obviously distressed. They are so comfortable, and I cannot recommend them enough. There is also another version that is not nearly as distressed. I’ll share those later.

Abercrombie seems to run a lot of sales, so wait for a good sale.

Enjoy!

XOXO
