First comment, “Wow, I feel like such a lawyer in this outfit.” Husband’s response, “You are.” Oh yeah! Lol! This is again the power of clothing. It can transport you and allow you to express a part of you that either you already know about or don’t yet. There’s a reason they call it dress-up.

Back to the shirt dresses. I had every intention in keeping just one of these dresses, but SERIOUSLY? How was I ever going to choose? I do think the brown number has a bit more character to it given all the colors, but the black number just has a fancier element to it that I love.

I am in a Small. I tried the X-Small, and it was just too short and tight. It would not have been appropriate for… well really anything but especially not work. I usually waver between X-Small and Small, so I suppose you might want to size up. Also, there is no shirt under the sweater dress. The pieces are just sewn onto the bottom of the dress.

Pair them with a pair of cute black heels or flats and a black tote (here from Longchamp). You could also bring in a patterned shoe since both dresses are neutrals. Oh and one more thing, aren’t you in love with the velvet bow?!?!

Enjoy!

XOXO
