Birthday Outfits: a Two Part Event

This year’s birthday required two outfits, like most birthdays! Lol! I needed a day look that was more casual for voting and getting lunch and then a nighttime look for bowling and dinner.

For the evening, my husband made reservations to go bowling and then go to my birthday dinner after that. So, I needed an outfit that would fit both occasions and transition well. I found the little number above at a boutique in Houston, but they have a website. So you’re in luck! The pants are a looser, slinky material with a slit up the leg going to about mid-calf. They are so comfy, yet so unique. And it is hard not to just spend all your time swaying back and forth with the motion of the pants. These particular palazzo pants are sold out, but I linked similar ones above.

I paired these cutey pants with a thin strapped tank and tucked it to make the outfit look a bit more cohesive. A note on the tank. It is a bit more low cut than what I’m used to. I also did not want my bra straps to show. I opted for a strapless bra and went ahead and let a little bit of my bra show at the top of the tank. This honestly gave me a little more coverage, which I liked. Because the bra is black and matches the tank, it was hard to tell if my bra was even showing. Unfortunately, the exact top is sold out, but I linked a similar one above. Finally, I added a strappy sandal and a bright colored handbag to give the outfit a pop of color.

Enjoy!
