  • Pom Pom Shorts: Lord Take Me Now

Tank: JCrew Women’s 1993 Favorite Tank; Shorts: Francesca’s (but sold out) Similar pairs found on Etsy or Amazon; Jacket: Banana Republic Factory Moto Knit Jacket; Shoes: Calvin Klein (similar found on Amazon) You say pom poms, and I start running. I LOVE pom poms! They are probably one of the most fun and flirtatious extras out there. And coupled with this vibrant tribal print, they are even better. I wanted to wear a bodysuit with these shorts, but (I never thought I would say this) the shorts aren’t high-waisted enough. Every time I bent over to pick something up, you could tell I was wearing a bodysuit (if you know…

  • The Shirt Dress

Dress: Theory (here is a link to a similar style but different print); Shoes: Ann Taylor Mila Pump in Camel (similar); Purse: Celine Micro Luggage Handbag Theory is a staple brand for work-wear, and generally, it is worth the investment. I have had this dress for two years now, and it is a go-to. It’s a thicker material that is also form fitting in just the right places. I also fell in love with this forest green color which will be perfect for the fall. I chose to pair this dress with a nude heel, but a black heel would go just as well especially if paired with a black…

  • Scoop Neck – Add a Necklace?

Dress: Max Studio Blue Dress (here’s a link to more recent dresses) I’ve been playing with not wearing necklaces. I used to think any neckline that exposed your chest was a perfect frame for a beautiful necklace and that not wearing a necklace made the look unfinished. While I still think a scoop neck provides an excellent frame for a necklace, I have started to let the dress AND myself be the main statement. LOL! I find that my eyes fixate much more on the outfit when I don’t wear a necklace. I also noticed that when I wear a dressier shoe and no necklace, my outfit actually tends to…

  • Ruggable: Machine Washable Rugs

Rug: Ruggable Dakota Ivory Blue Rug I made this blog to review my Instagram buys, and one of those buys was a Ruggable machine washable rug. I LOVE the color we bought and especially with our mid-century media stand, the two create a funky living room feel. But back to the rug. We have owned a Ruggable for almost a year now and have washed it one time. Washing it was no problem at all, and it really did come out much cleaner. The only complaint I have is that I cannot use my vacuum cleaner on it. The suction is too great, and the vacuum ends up sucking up…

  • Mother of Dragons

Top: Mother of Dragons Tee simpleeDmaree; Shorts: Else Denim Green Wash Shorts (no longer sold – I looked high & low); Headband I have two things to say. One, do you like certain pieces of clothing so much that you don’t actually wear them very often in case you can’t replace them? That’s how I feel about these shorts, and now I am going to have be EXTRA careful about wearing them because I cannot find them ANYWHERE. I bought them at Macy’s in their Impulse section awhile back. I particularly like these shorts because of the stretch. Most denim shorts don’t have much give, but these shorts feel more…
