Mother of Dragons

I have two things to say. One, do you like certain pieces of clothing so much that you don’t actually wear them very often in case you can’t replace them? That’s how I feel about these shorts, and now I am going to have be EXTRA careful about wearing them because I cannot find them ANYWHERE. I bought them at Macy’s in their Impulse section awhile back.

I particularly like these shorts because of the stretch. Most denim shorts don’t have much give, but these shorts feel more like loungewear. (You see why I love them so!) I will keep an eye out for a similar pair, but as far as I can tell, the brand itself, ELSE, is not even a business anymore.

Two, I do not usually buy into trendy graphic tees. They will only be relevant for so long, and then after that, they seem wasteful (no judgment if you purchase them because they are fun!). I don’t know about you but recently I have been watching these try-on sessions on the ‘gram and wondering where all the clothes go. There is no way people have THAT much closet/drawer space. The rate at which clothes are tried-on day after day seems to be a lot. I know some people make a living this way – that’s perfectly fine. Possibly there is more commentary here in terms of consumption, but I’ll let that be. And I know I play my role – I purchase my fair share of clothing. I did notice that many people do seem to resell their clothes which is great. I, for one, am trying to make a greater attempt at being a much more consciences buyer – buying when I actually need something or replacing items in my wardrobe by selling unused items.

With all that being said, I did buy into the graphic tee trend with this GOT tee. I loved the character, and her dragons reminded me of my pups. So, the tee had to be mine. Even since the end of GOT, I still wear it. This Etsy designer found a really nice cotton tee that fits very well and is super soft.

XOXO
